History

Founded in 1977 and chartered by the Lebanese Government, ELC is the First institution of higher education in the nation's capital and Lebanon who Introduced Computer Majors. Though the College is more than 25 years old, it continues to generate creative energy, breaking down the boundaries between disciplines and the divide between academia and the world at large. You'll find ELC has a great deal to offer. We have two major schools, offering Prestigious and challenging of undergraduate, professional programs and thousands of graduate serving the community. Many of these plug into (and give you entree to) the extraordinary world of Beirut business, and Computer centers, and international companies that move our country and the world.

Mission

The mission of ELC is to advance knowledge and educate students in science, technology, and other areas of scholarship that will best serve the nation and the world in the 21st century.

The Institute is committed to generating, disseminating, and preserving knowledge, and to working with others to bring this knowledge to bear on the world's great challenges. ELC is dedicated to providing its students with an education that combines rigorous academic study and the excitement of discovery with the support and intellectual stimulation of a diverse campus community. We seek to develop in each member of the ELC community the ability and passion to work wisely, creatively, and effectively for the betterment of humankind.

Accreditation

ELC Is a Lebanese college, being registered in the Lebanese territories, and a registered institution with the department of Higher education. ELC is established according to the law of the Lebanese government of higher education.

ELC is legally registered as "Ecole Libanaise pour les Science Commerciale", In Ashrafieh, the heart of Beirut City Lebanon under the presidential decree 592 issued in 11th of November 1977.

Such registration compromise accreditation and recognition by the Lebanese government.

Affiliation to BIU

ELC is affiliated to BIU Bircham International University by contract dated September 20,2002.
BIU will provide to ELC a university degrees support.
ELC offers now Bachelor, and Master degrees in the following majors.

ELC will offer in the same time to ELC students, the possibility to obtain the TS diplomas for the similar majors above.
