General Admission Requirements

To be admitted to any ELC program supported by BIU "Bircham International University", a prospective student must interview with an admission representative. An applicant must also complete an application for admission either online or with an admission representative. This will give the applicant and their family the opportunity to ask questions relating to BIU-ELC curriculum and course objectives. Personal interviews also assist school administrators in determining whether an applicant is accepted for enrollment into the program.

Students who have previously attended ELC will be subject to the same requirements and procedures as new applicants.

To be considered for admissions, applicants must submit an application, an application fee and fulfill all admissions requirements for the program as described below. Selection of students is based on an individual assessment of each applicant:

  • Personal interview with an Admissions Advisor
  • Submit an application for admission
  • Submit Documentation of high school graduation or equivalent.
  • If the applicant's first language is not English or the applicant graduated from a non-English speaking university, a TOEFL score of 550 or other acceptable proof of English proficiency must be submitted
  • A contract sheet with the student and the ELC affiliate to BIU administrator must be signed containing the credits registered for the semester and the credits transferred and evaluated from other university, institute and TS or LT technical institute.

Once an applicant has completed all of the above and submitted all required documentation to ELC-BIU, the school will review the information and will inform the applicant of its decision. If an applicant is not accepted, Application fee is not refunded. All documents presented to complete an application become the property of BIU and applicants may not claim them back.

ELC affiliated to BIU reserves the right to reject applicants if the items listed above are not successfully completed.

Prospective students must have a high school diploma or equivalent to qualify for entrance.
